Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh parsley stems removed
- 0.5 cup fresh cilantro stems removed
- 2 cloves garlic peeled
- 0.25 cup fresh lemon juice
- 0.25 cup extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons tahini
- 0.25 cup water or more as needed
- 0.5 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes optional
Instructions
- Add fresh parsley, cilantro, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, tahini, water, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using) to a blender or food processor.
- Blend on high until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the sauce is smooth, scraping down the sides as needed to ensure an even consistency.
- Gradually add more water, one tablespoon at a time, blending after each addition, until your desired consistency is reached. (The sauce will thicken as it sits).
