Layered Strawberry-Lime Margaritas

This recipe serves 2 but is easily doubled to serve 4.
Ingredients
- 3 ounces tequila divided
- 2 tablespoons agave syrup divided
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 2 cups crushed ice divided
- 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- ¼ cup blueberries
Instructions
- Add 1 1/2 ounces tequila, 1 tablespoon agave, lime juice and 1 cup crushed ice to a blender. Blend until smooth; divide between 2 mason jars (or other tall glasses).
- Rinse the blender, then add the remaining 1 1/2 ounces tequila and 1 tablespoon agave, lemon juice, strawberries and the remaining 1 cup crushed ice. Blend until smooth; divide between the 2 glasses, pouring slowly to create a layered effect. Thread blueberries onto 2 skewers and garnish each cocktail with a skewer of blueberries.
