These simple, fruity frozen margaritas are as easy to make as they are delicious! Inspired by a mix of two summer classics: frozen margaritas and strawberry lemonade, these red, white and blue margaritas are the perfect laid-back sipper for the Fourth of July or anytime you want a colorful cocktail. This recipe serves 2 but is easily doubled to serve 4.
Add 1 1/2 ounces tequila, 1 tablespoon agave, lime juice and 1 cup crushed ice to a blender. Blend until smooth; divide between 2 mason jars (or other tall glasses).
Rinse the blender, then add the remaining 1 1/2 ounces tequila and 1 tablespoon agave, lemon juice, strawberries and the remaining 1 cup crushed ice. Blend until smooth; divide between the 2 glasses, pouring slowly to create a layered effect. Thread blueberries onto 2 skewers and garnish each cocktail with a skewer of blueberries.
