Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy like almond or oat)
  • 1/2 tsp culinary lavender buds
  • 1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder
  • 1 tsp honey (or maple syrup
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • pinch ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine milk, lavender buds, and ashwagandha powder.
  • Heat over medium-low heat, stirring occasionally, until warm and steamy but not boiling, about 3-5 minutes. Do not let it boil.
  • Remove from heat and carefully strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a mug to remove the lavender buds.
  • Stir in the honey (or maple syrup) and vanilla extract (if using) until dissolved.
  • Sprinkle with a pinch of cinnamon, if desired.
  • Sip warm 30-60 minutes before bedtime for optimal relaxation.

Notes

Ensure you use culinary-grade lavender, as not all lavender is safe for consumption. Adjust the amount of honey or maple syrup to your preferred sweetness. For a dairy-free option, almond or oat milk works wonderfully. Sip warm 30-60 minutes before bedtime.
