Crispy Garlic Parmesan Wings
Indulge in restaurant-quality crispy garlic parmesan wings right at home. These wings are baked to golden perfection, coated in a savory garlic, butter, and parmesan sauce, offering an irresistible crunch and flavor. Perfect for game day, parties, or a delicious dinner.
Ingredients
- 2 lb chicken wings pat dried
- 1 tbsp baking powder not baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 0.5 tsp black pepper
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter melted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese plus more for garnish
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top. Lightly spray the rack with non-stick spray.
- In a large bowl, combine the dried chicken wings with baking powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until wings are evenly coated.
- Arrange the seasoned wings in a single layer on the prepared wire rack, ensuring no pieces are touching.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes, flipping halfway through, or until the wings are golden brown and crispy. Internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
- While wings are baking, prepare the sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn. Remove from heat.
- Transfer the hot crispy wings to a large bowl. Pour the garlic butter mixture over the wings, add the grated Parmesan cheese, and toss gently until all wings are evenly coated.
- Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and a sprinkle of extra Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
For extra crispiness, pat wings very dry before seasoning. For a spicier kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce. Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing and celery sticks.
