Ingredients

  • 0.25 cup gochujang (Korean chili paste)
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoon soy sauce low-sodium
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil toasted
  • 2 clove garlic minced
  • 1 inch ginger grated
  • 0.25 cup water or chicken broth

Instructions

  • 1. In a small saucepan, combine gochujang, honey, soy sauce, rice vinegar, toasted sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and water or chicken broth. 2. Whisk all the ingredients together until well combined and smooth. 3. Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring frequently. 4. Reduce the heat to low and continue to simmer for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly to your desired consistency. 5. Remove the sauce from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes before tossing it with cooked chicken wings or using it as a glaze for other foods. 6. Serve the Honey Gochujang Wing Sauce immediately, garnished with sesame seeds or sliced green onions if desired, for an extra touch of flavor and presentation.

Notes

Adjust the amount of gochujang to your desired spice level. For a thicker sauce, simmer for a few extra minutes. This sauce can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Great with chicken, pork, or even roasted vegetables.
