Buldak Garlic Butter Rice
A quick and fiery Korean-inspired rice dish, combining the rich creaminess of Buldak Carbonara with the spicy depth of tteokbokki sauce and aromatic garlic butter. Perfect for a quick meal or flavorful side.
Ingredients
- 3-4 tbsp tteokbokki sauce adjust to taste
- ½ tbsp butter unsalted
- 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 1-1½ cups cooked medium-grain (sticky) rice hot
- 1 tbsp Buldak carbonara hot sauce adjust to taste
- ½-1 tsp soy sauce or to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter in a small pan or skillet over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant but not browned.
- Stir in the tteokbokki sauce, Buldak carbonara hot sauce, and soy sauce. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce slightly thickens.
- Add the hot cooked medium-grain rice to the pan. Mix thoroughly, ensuring that every grain of rice is evenly coated with the spicy sauce mixture.
- Continue to cook for another 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the rice is heated through and the flavors have fully melded.
- Serve immediately as a flavorful side dish, snack, or light meal. Garnish as desired.
Notes
For extra creaminess, stir in a tablespoon of cream cheese or a sprinkle of shredded mozzarella at the end. Adjust the Buldak sauce amount to control the spice level. Serve with a fried egg or some grilled chicken for a more substantial meal. A sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds or chopped green onions makes a great garnish.
