Ingredients

  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon powder "optional"
  • 0.25 teaspoon turmeric powder "optional
  • 1 teaspoon honey or maple syrup "optional

Instructions
 

  • Combine milk, ashwagandha powder, and any optional spices (like cinnamon or turmeric) in a small saucepan over medium heat.
  • Whisk continuously to combine the ingredients and prevent scorching. Heat until the milk is warm and steamy, but do not let it come to a boil.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in honey or maple syrup if you desire a sweeter taste.
  • Pour the warm Moon Milk into your favorite mug. Take a moment to breathe in the aroma before enjoying it warm, ideally 30 minutes before bedtime to allow its calming effects to take hold.

Notes

For extra sweetness, add a drizzle of maple syrup or honey. Spices like cinnamon, nutmeg, or cardamom can be added for flavor. Adjust ashwagandha to taste, starting with ½ teaspoon. You can also add a pinch of black pepper if using turmeric, as it helps with absorption. Ensure the milk doesn't boil to preserve the properties of the adaptogens.
