Ingredients
  

  • 8 cup water divided
  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice about 6-8 lemons
  • 0.75 cup granulated sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 cup mixed berries fresh or frozen
  • 0.5 cup sliced cucumber optional
  • 0.25 cup fresh mint leaves optional

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat, stirring until the sugar completely dissolves. This is your simple syrup. Let it cool completely.
  • In a large pitcher, combine the cooled simple syrup, remaining 7 cups of water, and fresh lemon juice. Stir well to mix.
  • Add the mixed berries, sliced cucumber (if using), and fresh mint leaves (if using) to the lemonade. Stir gently to combine all ingredients.
  • Refrigerate for at least 1-2 hours to allow the flavors to meld and chill thoroughly.
  • Serve cold over ice, garnishing with extra fruit or mint if desired.

Notes

Experiment with different fruits like berries, cucumber, or mint. Adjust sweetness to your liking. For best flavor, let it chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve cold over ice.
