Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Spaghetti
  • 1 tbsp Olive oil
  • 1 medium Onion finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 28 oz can Crushed tomatoes
  • 0.5 cup Vegetable broth
  • 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.25 cup Fresh basil chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Cook spaghetti according to package directions. Drain and set aside.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.
  • Stir in crushed tomatoes and vegetable broth. Bring to a simmer, then reduce heat and cook for 10-15 minutes, allowing sauce to thicken.
  • Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and toss to coat. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  • Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh basil, if desired.

Notes

Feel free to add your favorite vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. A sprinkle of fresh basil or parsley before serving adds a lovely touch. For a richer flavor, you can use homemade chicken or vegetable broth.
