Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 0.5 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.125 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet or pan over medium-high heat.
  • Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the hot oil. Cook for 30-60 seconds, stirring frequently, until the garlic becomes fragrant and just begins to gain a light golden color. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Add the peeled and deveined shrimp and paprika to the skillet. Season with salt and black pepper.
  • Cook the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, stirring occasionally, until they turn opaque and pink, indicating they are fully cooked. Do not overcook, as shrimp can become rubbery.
  • Remove from heat and serve immediately.

Notes

Serve immediately with rice, pasta, or crusty bread. For extra flavor, add a squeeze of lemon juice at the end. Adjust red pepper flakes to your spice preference. Ensure shrimp is fully deveined for best results.
