Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb cod fillets fresh or thawed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 slice lemon for serving

Instructions
 

  • Pat cod fillets dry with paper towels.
  • Season both sides of the cod fillets with olive oil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Let the seasoned cod sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking to ensure even cooking.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Place the cod fillets in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not overcrowded. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 10-12 minutes, or until the cod flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).
  • Carefully remove the cod from the air fryer. Serve immediately, perhaps with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.

Notes

For best results, allow cod to sit at room temperature for about 30 minutes before cooking. This helps it cook more evenly. Feel free to experiment with different seasonings like paprika, garlic powder, or a dash of cayenne pepper for extra flavor. Serve with roasted vegetables or a fresh salad.
