Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup oat milk full-fat or barista blend preferred

Instructions

  • 1. Gently heat the desired amount of oat milk on the stovetop or in the microwave until it's steaming (around 140-150°F / 60-65°C), but do not let it boil.
  • 2. **Jar Method:** Pour the warm oat milk into a clean jar, filling it only halfway. Secure the lid tightly and shake vigorously for 30-60 seconds until a good amount of foam forms. Remove the lid and gently tap the jar on the counter to pop larger bubbles.
  • 3. **Whisk Method:** Alternatively, pour the warm oat milk into a bowl. Vigorously whisk the milk in a circular motion, tilting the bowl slightly, for 1-2 minutes until the desired foam consistency is reached.
  • 4. **French Press Method:** As another option, pour the warm oat milk into a clean French press. Rapidly pump the plunger up and down for 30-60 seconds until the milk is frothy and has doubled in volume.
  • 5. Pour the freshly frothed oat milk over your hot coffee or tea and serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use a high-fat or 'barista blend' oat milk. Always heat the milk gently to around 140-150°F (60-65°C) before frothing for a creamier texture, but avoid boiling it. Tap the container gently after frothing to pop large bubbles for a smoother microfoam.
