Ingredients
  

  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Pat scallops thoroughly dry with paper towels; this is crucial for a good crust.
  • In a large bowl, toss scallops with olive oil, salt, and pepper until evenly coated.
  • Arrange scallops in a single layer in a baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Ensure they are not overcrowded.
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until scallops are opaque and cooked through. They should be firm but still tender.
  • While scallops are baking, melt butter in a small saucepan. Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
  • Remove scallops from oven. Drizzle with the garlic-lemon butter.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes
