Ingredients
  

  • 2 packages chocolate cookies (such as Chocolinas or similar)
  • 1 can (14 oz) dulce de leche
  • 1 cup heavy cream cold
  • 8 oz cream cheese softened
  • 0.5 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions
 

  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Set aside.
  • In a separate chilled bowl, whip the cold heavy cream until soft peaks form. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
  • To assemble, spread a thin layer of dulce de leche at the bottom of a rectangular or square serving dish. Arrange a single layer of chocolate cookies over the dulce de leche.
  • Spread half of the cream cheese mixture evenly over the cookies. Follow with another layer of dulce de leche, then another layer of chocolate cookies.
  • Spread the remaining cream cheese mixture over the cookies. Finish with a decorative swirl or drizzle of the remaining dulce de leche on top.
  • Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refriger refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the dessert to set and the flavors to meld.

Notes

For an even richer flavor and softer cookies, you can briefly dip each chocolate cookie in milk or coffee before layering. Garnish with chocolate shavings, a drizzle of extra dulce de leche, or a dusting of cocoa powder. This dessert is best made a day ahead to allow all the flavors to meld and the layers to set perfectly.
