Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb skinless salmon fillet cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.25 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp your favorite hot sauce
  • 1 tsp apple cider vinegar (optional for balance)
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
  • 1 tbsp chopped green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Pat salmon cubes very dry with paper towels. In a medium bowl, toss salmon with olive oil, smoked paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 5 minutes. If desired, lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray.
  • Arrange salmon in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook for 8-12 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until salmon is cooked through and lightly crisped. Cooking time may vary based on air fryer model and salmon thickness.
  • While salmon cooks, in a small saucepan, combine honey, hot sauce, and apple cider vinegar (if using). Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until well combined and slightly warmed. Do not boil.
  • Once salmon is cooked, transfer to a serving dish. Drizzle generously with the hot honey sauce. Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions, if desired, and serve immediately.

Notes

For extra crispiness, pat salmon very dry before seasoning. Adjust hot sauce in the honey glaze to your spice preference. Serve with a side of rice, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.
