Crispy Oven Chicken Bites
These golden, crispy oven-baked chicken bites are incredibly easy to make and pair perfectly with a sweet and tangy honey BBQ dipping sauce, ideal for a quick family dinner or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 0.5 tsp paprika
- 0.25 tsp garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp onion powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.125 tsp black pepper
- 0.5 cup Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce
- 2 tbsp honey
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a medium bowl, toss the cut chicken pieces with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper until each piece is evenly coated.
- Spread the seasoned chicken in a single layer on a baking sheet. Ensure pieces are not touching too much to allow for even crisping.
- Bake for 12 to 18 minutes, flipping the chicken halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and has a crispy, golden-brown exterior (internal temperature should reach 165°F/74°C).
- While the chicken bakes, combine the Sweet Baby Ray's BBQ sauce and honey in a small saucepan. Heat over low heat, stirring occasionally, until the sauce is warmed through and well combined.
- Serve the crispy oven chicken bites immediately with the warm honey BBQ dipping sauce on the side.
Notes
For extra crispiness, ensure chicken pieces are uniform and not overcrowded on the baking sheet. Use a non-stick baking sheet or line with parchment paper for easy cleanup. You can adjust the amount of honey in the sauce to your preferred sweetness. Try other spices on the chicken for variety, such as a Cajun blend or Italian seasoning.
