Ingredients
  

  • 1.5 lbs boneless skinless chicken thighs cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp ginger powder
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp gochujang
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds for garnish
  • 1 tbsp green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the cut chicken thighs with soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, ginger powder, black pepper, and cornstarch. Toss well to coat the chicken evenly.
  • For the sauce, in a separate small bowl, whisk together gochujang, honey, brown sugar, and water until smooth. Set aside.
  • Air Fryer Method: Preheat air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Arrange chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd. Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken is cooked through and crispy. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Oven Method: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and arrange chicken in a single layer. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
  • Once cooked, transfer chicken to a clean bowl. Pour the prepared honey-gochujang sauce over the hot chicken and toss gently until every piece is thoroughly coated.
  • Garnish with sesame seeds and sliced green onions before serving immediately. Enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure chicken is patted very dry before seasoning. Adjust gochujang amount to your preferred spice level. Serve with steamed rice and a sprinkle of sesame seeds and green onions for a complete meal. You can also marinate the chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, for deeper flavor.
