  • 1.5 kg chicken wings whole or split
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 0.5 tsp paprika
  • Optional your favorite wing seasoning

Instructions
 

  • Pat chicken wings dry thoroughly with paper towels. This is crucial for crispiness.
  • In a large bowl, toss the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika (or your preferred seasoning) until evenly coated.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (350°F) for 5 minutes.
  • Place the seasoned chicken wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd it. Cook in batches if necessary.
  • Air fry for 15 to 20 minutes, flipping the wings halfway through, or until they are golden brown, crispy, and cooked through (internal temperature reaches 74°C/165°F).
  • For extra crispiness, increase the temperature to 200°C (400°F) for the last 3-5 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning.
  • Remove from air fryer and serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces or toss in a sauce if desired.

Notes

For extra crispiness, ensure wings are patted very dry before seasoning. Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary for even cooking and crisping. Experiment with different seasonings like lemon pepper, BBQ rub, or a spicy Cajun blend. Serve with your favorite dipping sauces such as ranch, blue cheese, or a sweet chili sauce. For a saucy wing, toss cooked wings in your preferred sauce immediately after removing from the air fryer.
