Ingredients

  • 2 pound salmon fillet skin-on or off
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 medium lemon thinly sliced
  • 1 medium orange thinly sliced (optional)
  • 4 tablespoons spicy chili crunch or to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Pat the salmon fillet dry with paper towels. Place it on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the salmon, then season evenly with salt and black pepper.
  • Arrange lemon and orange slices over and around the salmon fillet.
  • Roast for 20-25 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
  • Remove from the oven. Gently spread the spicy chili crunch over the warm salmon.
  • Garnish with fresh chopped cilantro and serve immediately.

Notes

For thicker salmon fillets, you might need an extra 5-10 minutes of cook time. Serve with roasted asparagus, steamed rice, or a fresh green salad. You can also experiment with different citrus like grapefruit for a unique flavor. If you don't have store-bought chili crunch, a sprinkle of red pepper flakes and a drizzle of sesame oil can offer a quick substitute.
