A simple yet effective marinade using buttermilk, garlic, and herbs to transform chicken breasts or thighs into incredibly tender and juicy meals.

Ingredients
  

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts or thighs
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 0.5 tsp dried thyme
  • 0.5 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil for cooking

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, combine buttermilk, minced garlic, paprika, dried thyme, salt, and pepper.
  • Add chicken pieces to the buttermilk mixture, ensuring they are fully submerged. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, turning once if possible.
  • Remove chicken from the marinade, allowing excess to drip off. Discard the remaining marinade.
  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add chicken and cook for 6-8 minutes per side, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and chicken is golden brown and cooked through (adjust time for baking/grilling).
  • Serve immediately with your favorite sides.

Notes

Marinate for at least 4 hours, or ideally overnight for best results. Adjust herbs and spices to your preference. This chicken is great for grilling, pan-frying, or baking.
