A delectable and quick-to-prepare dish featuring tender chicken breasts smothered in a rich, savory garlic cream sauce, perfect for a weeknight meal or special occasion. This dish brings comfort and elegance to your table with minimal effort.
Ingredients
- 4 pieces boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp paprika smoked
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter unsalted
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
- 0.5 cup heavy cream
- 0.25 cup Parmesan cheese grated
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley chopped
Instructions
- Pat chicken breasts dry and season both sides with paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium, add butter to the skillet. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in heavy cream and grated Parmesan cheese. Simmer for 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return cooked chicken to the skillet, coating it in the creamy garlic sauce. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley.
- Serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
For a thicker sauce, add a tablespoon of cornstarch slurry (1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp cold water) to the sauce while simmering. You can also add spinach or mushrooms for extra vegetables. Serve with pasta, rice, or roasted potatoes.
