- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic minced
- 2 tablespoons gochujang paste
- 1 tablespoon sriracha adjust to taste
- 3 tablespoons honey adjust to taste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce low sodium preferred
- 1 tablespoon water optional
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Stir in the gochujang paste, sriracha, honey, and soy sauce. Mix well to combine all ingredients.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, stirring continuously, for 2-3 minutes until it slightly thickens. If it's too thick, add a tablespoon of water.
- Taste the sauce and adjust the sweetness with more honey or the spiciness with more sriracha if desired.
- Remove from heat and use immediately as a glaze or dipping sauce. Store any leftover sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
Notes
Adjust sriracha for desired heat. For a thicker sauce, simmer a bit longer. Great on chicken wings, salmon, tofu, or as a stir-fry base. Add a pinch of sesame seeds for garnish.
