Ingredients
  

  • 8 oz dried linguine or spaghetti
  • 1 lb shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 6 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp red pepper flakes or to taste
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce low sodium
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth or vegetable broth
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro chopped
  • 2 tbsp green onions sliced

Instructions
 

  • Cook linguine according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  • While noodles cook, heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until pink and cooked through. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, and chicken broth in a small bowl. Pour the sauce into the skillet with the garlic mixture and bring to a simmer. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce slightly thickens.
  • Add the cooked noodles and cooked shrimp back into the skillet. Toss everything together until the noodles are well coated with the sauce.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and sliced green onions before serving immediately.

Notes

Adjust chili flakes for desired spice level. For a vegetarian option, replace shrimp with pan-fried tofu or a medley of mushrooms. Add extra vegetables like thinly sliced bell peppers, spinach, or broccoli florets for more nutrition and crunch. Serve with a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds for added texture and flavor.
