Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large saucepan or pot over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn it.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Bring the sauce to a gentle simmer, then reduce heat to low, cover, and let it cook for at least 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, to allow the flavors to meld.
- While the sauce simmers, bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil. Add your pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving about half a cup of pasta water.
