Ingredients

  • 1 medium pineapple ripe
  • 1 cup water optional
  • ice cubes for serving

Instructions

  • 1. Prepare the Pineapple: Carefully peel the pineapple, remove the hard core, and cut the flesh into chunks. Make sure to remove all the 'eyes' from the fruit.
  • 2. Blend: Place the pineapple chunks into a blender. If you prefer a thinner juice or your pineapple isn't very juicy, add 1 cup of water to the blender.
  • 3. Process: Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and no large chunks remain, typically 1-2 minutes.
  • 4. Strain (Optional): For a pulp-free juice, pour the blended mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a pitcher, pressing down firmly to extract all the liquid. Discard the pulp.
  • 5. Serve: Serve the fresh pineapple juice immediately over ice, or chill it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days before serving. Enjoy this delightful tropical beverage!

Notes

For a sweeter juice, choose a very ripe pineapple. Adjust water amount to your desired consistency. You can add a squeeze of lime or ginger for extra flavor. Best served chilled, or used as a base for smoothies and cocktails.
