These super-quick Brussels sprouts have a hefty amount of garlic that’s softened by a splash of butter and grated Parmesan cheese. Serve this easy side with roasted chicken, seared pork tenderloin or salmon.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
- 1 1/2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic
- 1 pound Brussels sprouts trimmed and thinly sliced
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1/3 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add garlic; cook, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not browned, about 1 minute. Add Brussels sprouts, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper; cook, stirring often, until tender-crisp and still bright green, about 6 minutes.
- Stir in butter; remove from heat. Sprinkle with Parmesan.
