Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets skinless
  • 1 bunch asparagus trimmed
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh dill chopped

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Cut four large pieces of parchment paper, approximately 12x16 inches (30x40 cm) each.
  • Place a salmon fillet in the center of each parchment piece. Divide asparagus equally among the fillets, placing it around the salmon.
  • Drizzle each with olive oil, sprinkle with minced garlic, a pinch of salt, and a grind of black pepper. Top each fillet with lemon slices and fresh dill.
  • Bring two opposite sides of the parchment paper together over the food and fold them down tightly, creating a sealed seam. Fold the other two ends inward to completely seal the packet, ensuring no steam can escape.
  • Place the parchment packets on a baking sheet. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until salmon is cooked through and flakes easily. Cooking time may vary based on salmon thickness.
  • Carefully open the packets at the table (be mindful of escaping steam) and serve immediately. Enjoy the aromatic release!

Notes

Feel free to add other vegetables like cherry tomatoes or thinly sliced bell peppers. A squeeze of lemon after opening enhances the flavors. Ensure parchment is sealed tightly to trap steam for best results.
