Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4-5 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley chopped
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes optional
  • 1/2 lemon juice of
  • to taste salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  • Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper. Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using) and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant. Be careful not to let the garlic brown. Add the seasoned shrimp to the skillet in a single layer. Cook for 1-2 minutes per side, until they turn pink and opaque. Avoid overcooking, as shrimp can become rubbery. Remove the skillet from heat. Stir in the fresh chopped parsley and lemon juice. Serve immediately as a main course with your favorite sides, such as rice, pasta, or crusty bread.

Notes

Serve over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce. For an extra kick, add a pinch of red pepper flakes with the garlic. Do not overcrowd the pan; cook in batches if necessary to ensure shrimp cook evenly and get a nice sear.
