A simple, Asian-inspired marinade designed to make chicken incredibly tender, juicy, and flavorful for various cooking methods like stir-frying, grilling, or baking.
Ingredients
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast or thighs
- 1 large egg white
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 0.25 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil optional
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, add the chicken, egg white, soy sauce, cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Mix until all ingredients are evenly coated. For extra flavor, add the optional sesame oil and mix again. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, before cooking. Cook the chicken as desired.
Notes
For best results, marinate chicken for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator. Use for stir-fries, grilling, or baking. Discard any unused marinade after the chicken has been removed.
