  • 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper

Instructions
 

  • Toast slices of crusty bread until golden brown.
  • In a bowl, combine diced tomatoes, minced garlic, chopped fresh basil, and olive oil.
  • Season the tomato mixture with salt and black pepper to taste.
  • Spoon the tomato mixture generously over each slice of toasted bread.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

For best flavor, use ripe, in-season tomatoes. A drizzle of balsamic glaze can add extra depth. Serve immediately.
