DIY Ginger Lemon ACV Wellness Tonic
A potent and refreshing homemade tonic combining fresh ginger, bright lemon juice, healthful apple cider vinegar, and natural maple syrup to support digestion and boost wellness.
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh ginger peeled and thinly sliced
- 2 cups water
- 100 ml fresh lemon juice from about 1 large lemon
- 8 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 8 Tbsp maple syrup
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine the thinly sliced ginger with 2 cups of water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Reduce heat to low, cover, and let it steep for 20 minutes to allow the ginger flavors to infuse.
- Remove from heat and strain the ginger water into a heatproof jar or bottle, discarding the ginger solids.
- Allow the ginger water to cool completely.
- Once cooled, add the lemon juice, apple cider vinegar, and maple syrup to the ginger water.
- Stir well to combine all ingredients until the maple syrup is fully dissolved.
- Taste and adjust sweetness if desired, adding more maple syrup if preferred.
- Seal the tonic in an airtight container and store in the refrigerator. Use as a concentrate, diluting with water to taste.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, organic ingredients. Adjust maple syrup to your sweetness preference. This concentrate can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. Serve diluted with hot water, cold water, or sparkling water.
