Air Fryer Corn Ribs Recipe
Air Fryer Corn Ribs are a delightful and easy-to-make dish, transforming fresh corn on the cob into crispy, seasoned 'riblets'. They are perfect as a snack, appetizer, or side dish, offering a unique texture and vibrant flavor.
Ingredients
- 4 cobs fresh corn on the cob husks removed
- 2 tbsp olive oil or melted butter
- 1 tsp paprika
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder
- 0.25 tsp salt
- 0.125 tsp black pepper or to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the Corn: Carefully cut each ear of corn lengthwise into quarters. Stand the corn upright on a cutting board and slice down through the center, then slice each half again to create four 'ribs' per cob.
- Season the Ribs: In a medium bowl, toss the corn ribs with olive oil (or melted butter). In a small bowl, combine paprika, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over the corn ribs, ensuring they are well coated.
- Preheat Air Fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3-5 minutes.
- Air Fry: Arrange the seasoned corn ribs in a single layer in the air fryer basket, ensuring not to overcrowd it. You may need to cook in batches. Air fry for 10-14 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the corn is tender and the edges are slightly charred and crispy.
- Serve: Remove from the air fryer and serve immediately as a delicious snack, appetizer, or side dish. Garnish with fresh cilantro or a lime wedge if desired.
Notes
For extra flavor, try adding smoked paprika, chili powder, or a pinch of cayenne to your seasoning blend. Serve with a squeeze of lime, a sprinkle of fresh cilantro, or your favorite dipping sauce like a spicy mayo or garlic aioli. These are best enjoyed fresh out of the air fryer.
