A soothing, warm beverage crafted with vibrant butterfly pea flowers and comforting spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. This delightful drink is designed to promote relaxation and support a restful night's sleep, making it an ideal addition to your evening routine.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk or non-dairy alternative
- 5-7 dried butterfly pea flowers
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp honey or maple syrup optional
- 1/2 tsp ashwagandha powder optional
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine milk and dried butterfly pea flowers. Heat over medium-low heat until warm but not boiling, about 3-5 minutes. The milk should turn a beautiful blue color.
- Remove from heat and strain out the butterfly pea flowers using a fine-mesh sieve. Discard the flowers.
- Return the blue milk to the saucepan. Stir in ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, honey (or maple syrup), and ashwagandha powder (if using).
- Whisk gently until all ingredients are well combined and the drink is frothy.
- Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy this comforting beverage about 30 minutes before bedtime.
Notes
