Boost Immunity: Homemade Ginger Shots
A potent, spicy, and tangy wellness shot designed to kickstart your immune system and aid digestion. Made with fresh ginger, apple cider vinegar, and a touch of sweetness for an invigorating morning boost.
Ingredients
- 4 inch fresh ginger root peeled and chopped
- 1 cup water
- 0.25 cup apple cider vinegar unfiltered
- 1 tbsp raw honey optional
- 0.5 lemon juice optional
Instructions
- Blend the peeled and chopped ginger root with 1 cup of water until very smooth. This may take 1-2 minutes.
- Strain the ginger mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a clean jar, pressing firmly on the pulp to extract as much liquid as possible. Discard the pulp.
- Add the apple cider vinegar, optional raw honey or maple syrup, and optional lemon juice to the ginger liquid.
- Stir vigorously to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
- Pour into small shot glasses (approx. 2 oz each) and enjoy immediately, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to one week. Shake well before each use.
Notes
For a smoother shot, strain the ginger mixture through a fine-mesh sieve or cheesecloth multiple times. Adjust sweetness with honey or maple syrup to your liking. Store the shots in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5-7 days. A pinch of cayenne pepper can be added for an extra metabolic kick.
