Ingredients
  

  • 280 g raw chicken breast diced into 1-inch pieces
  • 80 g 0% fat Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 0.5 tsp smoked paprika
  • 0.5 tsp salt
  • 0.25 tsp black pepper
  • 2 pita breads warmed (optional
  • 0.5 cup diced tomato for serving (optional)
  • 0.5 cup diced cucumber for serving (optional)
  • 0.25 cup thinly sliced red onion for serving (optional)
  • 0.5 cup tzatziki sauce for serving (optional)

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the diced chicken breast with Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, dried oregano, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to ensure the chicken is fully coated.
  • Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours, to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  • Arrange the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket. You may need to cook in batches depending on your air fryer size.
  • Air fry for 15-18 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through, until the chicken is cooked through and lightly browned.
  • While the chicken cooks, prepare your desired toppings like diced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onion, and warm your pita breads if using.
  • Assemble the gyros by filling warm pita breads with the cooked chicken, a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce, and fresh vegetable toppings. Serve immediately.
