Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup gochujang paste
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup rice vinegar
  • 0.25 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 4 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger grated

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, combine gochujang paste, soy sauce, rice vinegar, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, and grated ginger.
  • Whisk all ingredients together until smooth. Bring the mixture to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let the glaze gently simmer for 5-7 minutes, or until it has slightly thickened to your desired consistency. Stir constantly to prevent burning.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before tossing with freshly fried chicken. Ensure the chicken is fully coated for maximum flavor.

Notes

This glaze also works wonderfully with grilled chicken wings or pan-seared pork belly. Adjust the amount of gochujang for your preferred spice level. A sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped green onions makes a great garnish.
