A vibrant and healthy Mediterranean-inspired brunch board featuring an assortment of fresh vegetables, creamy dips, savory cheeses, olives, and warm pita bread. Perfect for sharing at any gathering.
Ingredients
- 1 cup hummus store-bought or homemade
- 0.5 cup tzatziki store-bought or homemade
- 1 large cucumber sliced
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes halved
- 1 large bell pepper any color
- 0.5 cup kalamata olives pitted
- 4 oz feta cheese crumbled or cubed
- 1 loaf pita bread warmed and cut into wedges
- 0.25 cup walnuts or almonds
- 0.25 cup fresh dill chopped
- 2 tbsp olive oil for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the Dips: If making homemade hummus and tzatziki, prepare them according to your recipes. Otherwise, open store-bought containers and transfer to small serving bowls.
- Wash and Chop Vegetables: Slice the cucumber, halve the cherry tomatoes, and thinly slice the bell pepper. Pat them dry to remove excess moisture.
- Arrange the Board: Place the small bowls of hummus and tzatziki on your large serving board or platter, spacing them out.
- Add Main Components: Arrange the pita bread wedges, sliced vegetables, pitted olives, and feta cheese around the dips. Try to group similar items and create visual appeal with different colors and shapes.
- Garnish and Serve: Sprinkle the walnuts over the board. Drizzle a little olive oil over the feta and vegetables. Garnish generously with fresh chopped dill. Serve immediately and enjoy your beautiful Mediterranean Brunch Board!
Notes
For variations, consider adding grilled halloumi, roasted red peppers, sun-dried tomatoes, or different types of nuts. You can also include some thinly sliced cured meats like prosciutto or salami for non-vegetarian guests. Prepare dips and chop vegetables ahead of time to make assembly quicker. Arrange items on your board just before serving for the freshest look.
