Easy One-Pan Chicken & Green Beans
A simple, flavorful, and healthy one-pan dinner featuring juicy chicken breasts and fresh green beans, perfectly seasoned and roasted together. Ideal for a quick weeknight meal with minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 3 skinless boneless chicken breasts cut in half
- 2 cans (14.5 oz each) green beans drained
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 0.5 tsp onion powder
- 0.5 tsp dried oregano
- 0.5 tsp salt to taste
- 0.25 tsp black pepper freshly ground
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- In a large bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Add the chicken breast halves to the bowl and toss to coat evenly with the seasoning mixture.
- Add the drained green beans to the same bowl and toss gently to coat them as well.
- Arrange the seasoned chicken and green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet. Ensure the chicken pieces are not overcrowded to allow for even cooking.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature reaches 165°F/74°C) and the green beans are tender-crisp. Adjust baking time based on chicken thickness.
- Serve hot, optionally with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice or a sprinkle of fresh parsley.
Notes
For extra flavor, add a squeeze of fresh lemon juice before serving. You can also vary the vegetables, adding chopped potatoes, bell peppers, or cherry tomatoes. Ensure chicken is cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
