- 1 tsp sesame oil toasted
- 0.5 tsp garlic powder or 1 clove minced fresh garlic
- 0.25 tsp ginger ground
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the gochujang, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and ginger.
- Whisk all the ingredients together thoroughly until well combined and smooth.
- Taste the sauce and adjust seasonings as needed, adding more gochujang for heat, soy sauce for saltiness, or a touch of sugar for sweetness.
- Serve immediately with your favorite dishes, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
Notes
Adjust the amount of gochujang to control the spiciness. For a touch of sweetness, add 1/2 teaspoon of sugar or honey. A squeeze of fresh lime juice can brighten the flavors. This sauce is excellent with dumplings, spring rolls, grilled chicken, bibimbap, or as a versatile condiment.
